RIYADH: The Ministry of Education has asked higher education graduates working in non-educational institutions to submit their applications for foreign scholarships for masters and doctoral programs for 2016-2017.
In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry said the applicants should meet certain conditions in order to be eligible for foreign scholarships. The candidate should have served in government for not less than two years either within the ministry or another government agency.
The candidate should also be less than 45-years-old and the last mark should not be less than “good” from an accredited university. Otherwise, a special committee will review the candidate’s record and make a decision based on their evaluation.
The candidate should also not have been issued any disciplinary notice during the last two years. He or she should also have a very good performance record on the job for the last two years.
The candidate should also submit a resignation letter from the present job and complete a related form when applying to the ministry. The specialization and the desired degree sought for the scholarship should be specified.
Specializations include accounting, computer, census, and engineering disciplines. For other disciplines, the candidate should mention the previous course of study, which should be related to the field of specialization. The applicant should have acceptance from a university accredited by the Ministry of Education.
